Avito Works experts conducted a study among 10 thousand respondents and found out by what criteria Russians choose a company for employment. More than half (66%) of all respondents said they regularly monitor job vacancies on job search sites. Previously, analysts found that among job seekers looking for work over the past year, 81% used job platforms. The most important criterion for choosing an employer for the majority of survey participants (73%) is its reputation.
The main factors that inspire the greatest confidence in job seekers when looking for a job are reviews of former and current employees on the Internet (57%), recommendations from friends (45%), verified company profile (31%), employer rating on the job platform (29%) and company website (27%). Among other things, Avito Works experts previously revealed that the majority of platform users prefer to respond to vacancies of companies whose profiles are marked with the “Details verified” icon (92%).
And among the factors that become as a source of distrust, respondents cited the negative experience of friends (65%), negative reviews about the company or their absence (52%), a corporate website that does not inspire confidence (34%), lack of confirmation of a completed employer profile check (32%) on the search platform work.
Residents of Krasnoyarsk (41%), St. Petersburg (39%), Kazan (38%) and Novosibirsk (37) pay attention most to the presence of a mark on the reliability of the details of the employing company in the profile on job sites %), as well as equally representatives of the IT, consulting, medicine, fitness (38%) and banking segments (37%).
