The Spanish national daily sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo also admired the level of play demonstrated by the Russian midfielder. In one of the publication’s materials entitled “Zakharyan demonstrated his arsenal,” Spanish media noted that the Russian football player played his best game since being at Real Sociedad. The article noted that the Russian seemed absolutely tireless in the last meeting, carried out many dangerous attacks, and also demonstrated exquisite ball handling skills.
Zakharyan, who moved to Real Sociedad from Dynamo Moscow in August, played 12 matches for the new club in all tournaments and did not score any goals. His current agreement with the Spanish team runs until June 2029.
