The kidnappers of an eight-year-old girl from Kozelsk lived in Swedish family — 37-year-old Irina Novikova lived in her mother’s house with her former and current husbands, writes the SHOT telegram channel.
Irina is a mother of many children. She herself, her ex-husband Dmitry, current husband Arkady and eldest son Andrey took part in the kidnapping of the girl.
Neighbors from the village of Kasyanovo said that the family had only recently lived there. The Novikovs did not communicate with anyone, they avoided people.
At the same time, Irina’s mother Lyudmila Ivanovna claims that they did not steal the girl, but allegedly simply went to pick up purchases from the marketplace. The girl was not in their house at all. The woman also praises her current son-in-law Arkady, who was previously convicted of murder. According to her, he is kind and caring, and he is also allegedly not unemployed, but self-employed.
The girl was kidnapped in Kozelsk on Gagarin Street, shortly after she got off the school bus. The attackers put her in a car and drove away, and then demanded a ransom from her parents. Then, afraid of the public outcry, they took her to the Tula region and dropped her off there. The girl said that the kidnappers hit her with a stick because she cried.
