SIRIUS, 30 NovMeasures to support young scientists, implemented within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation, have made it possible to reverse the trend towards a decrease in the number of young scientists under the age of 29, and for the first time an increase in this indicator has been noted, said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Dmitry Chernyshenko .
«We see that the trend of reducing the number of young scientists under 29 years of age has been broken. For the first time, we have shown growth. This all also applies to the effect of the events (within the framework — ed.) of the Decade of Science and Technology,» Chernyshenko said at the plenary meeting of the III Congress of Young Scientists.
The Congress of Young Scientists is a key event of the Decade of Science and Technology, announced by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the most important problems development of society and country.
