Details about the poisoning of airport builders in Kamchatka have become known

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 6Workers involved in the construction of the new terminal of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky airport in Yelizovo were poisoned by food supplied by one of the local companies, said senior assistant prosecutor of the Kamchatka Territory Yulia Konzherovskaya.
As the prosecutor's office reported, the workers were hospitalized with signs of poisoning; they all ate in a cafe located on the territory of the facility under construction. The chief sanitary doctor of the Kamchatka Territory, Yana Gospodarik, said that 40 people with gastroenteritis were hospitalized, all of them are recovering.

«It was established that the construction workers took food in the canteen located on the territory of the facility. The organization of meals for workers on a contractual basis was carried out by one of the commercial enterprises in the region, which was not provided quality and safety of food products. The inspection materials have been sent to the investigative authorities to resolve the issue of initiating a criminal case,» Konzherovskaya said.

The investigation was carried out by the Elizovsk City Prosecutor's Office, which saw in the actions of the food manufacturer a crime under Part 1 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers), the interlocutor added.
