MOSCOW, December 11 Sergei Mikhalkov’s character Uncle Styopa in the New Year’s show “Uncle Styopa “They say: on New Year…” will unite generations of children and their parents, and will also be able become a good start for young viewers to get acquainted with children's literature, said the granddaughters of the famous writer, actresses Anna and Nadezhda Mikhalkov.
«Appealing to parents' childhood heroes is a very significant moment. Parents introduce children to the culture of fairy tales and who the heroes are. This is a good motive for uniting generations in one hero,” said Nadezhda Mikhalkova.
Poems about Uncle Styopa, like most works by domestic children’s authors, often become the beginning of children’s acquaintance with literature, added Anna Mikhalkova. According to her, these the works are well suited to children's perception, understandable, plot-based and imaginative.
«I believe that since children are always omnivores and, by and large, do not know the difference between good and bad content, they consume it entirely. Therefore, Uncle Styopa is a good start to instill a good taste for literature,” concluded Anna Mikhalkova.
Premiere of the New Year’s show “Uncle Styopa “They say: on New Year's Eve…”, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Sergei Mikhalkov , will take place on December 30 in Moscow. The heroes of the performance will be characters from Mikhalkov's works.
