Putin answered for the balls: GDP revealed the strategy for the new presidential term

“You are on the right road, comrade!”: the owner of the Kremlin is ready to lose only at chess

If earlier fools and roads were considered the main misfortunes in our country, now, as the “Results” showed, years with Vladimir Putin,” a new problem has come to the fore—eggs.

GDP, answering a pensioner’s question “when and where were such prices?”: “I recently spoke with the Minister of Agriculture and asked how things were going for him.” with eggs. He says everything is fine with him. And I answered him that our citizens have problems.”

And the top leader of all these citizens has a problem with chess. Putin talked about how he recently invited a certain young man to play chess with him. The young man graciously agreed, but to the presidential question, “Do you think I will win?” answered laconically, but very confidently: “Hardly.”

And this is why I’m talking about this: Putin is ready to calmly talk about his loss in ordinary chess (we, however, do not know whether this loss took place or not), but he is absolutely confident in his victory when it comes to geopolitical chess.< /p>

Shortly after the start of his “Direct Line”, the GDP said, answering one of the questions: “I would like it to be “as I said, so it will be,” but this does not always happen , Unfortunately».

This doesn’t always happen — but Putin is definitely striving for this and is absolutely confident that in the end he will succeed.

“When will there be peace?” — they asked the owner of the Kremlin during the first minutes of the event. Putin replied: “There will be peace when we achieve our goals.” Please note: not if, but when.

The combined communication between the president and journalists and the people took place a little more than three months before the upcoming elections of the new head of the Russian state. Last week, Putin officially announced his readiness to become this new head. But this Thursday, Vladimir Vladimirovich practically did not talk about the upcoming presidential elections. There was simply no need for this.

No one has yet clearly said this out loud, but the events of March 17, 2024 will have the character of an all-Russian referendum on confidence in the current president, another notch in his career as “the chief commander of all Rus'.”

Hence the emphatically everyday and business-like nature of “Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin” (once again, please note: not Putin’s results in general, but the results of one particular Putin year).

Everything was as we are used to: a stream of requests for help, complaints and petitions, an instant solution to many of the problems raised right on the spot (“the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture will contact you” — if I were the Volgograd farmer who received such a presidential promise, I would feel like I won the main prize in the lottery). Although no, I take my words back: not everything was as always.

Yes, the journalists present in the hall behaved in the spirit of the worst traditions of large press conferences: like a group of traders at a bazaar attracting the attention of buyers (correction: only one, but what kind of “buyer”). At some point, Putin was even forced to make a remark to them: “Let’s not declare ourselves so loudly — it’s a cacophony!” But then “questions” in the style of “oh, Vladimir Vladimirovich, how wonderful you are!” this time it was significantly less.

The series of Putin’s answers to questions from foreign journalists turned out to be very interesting. Dmitry Peskov: “I saw the New York Times there.” Putin: “No, let’s get Xinhua first.”

Does anything else need to be said about modern Russian foreign policy priorities, emphasized in this way by the president? I think no. Although, of course, we already knew absolutely everything about them.

But the charming young girl from The New York Times managed to introduce some element of confusion into the measured course of the presidential press conference. She delivered the introductory speech to her question in quite passable Russian. But for some reason I decided to formulate the question itself in English.

And this must happen! This time the Kremlin translators failed. The question concerned Evan Gershkovich, a journalist for the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal, who was detained in Yekaterinburg in March of this year on suspicion of espionage. But in the translator’s version, a certain “Austrian journalist” appeared (well, the man was worried, no matter what happens to him!). Putin did not immediately manage to understand this story in the spirit of Yuri Tynyanov’s story about “Second Lieutenant Kizhe.”

But the answer that he eventually gave to the girl from The New York Times, I think, completely satisfied her: negotiations on the exchange are ongoing and, quite possibly, will yield results.

The right to ask the last question at the presidential press conference was given to the famous virtuoso of words — Andrei Kolesnikov from Kommersant. And this time he didn’t disappoint, asking VVP: what would the veteran President Putin from December 2023 advise the newly minted President Putin from 2000?

Here is a short version of the Kremlin owner’s answer: “I would tell myself : “You are going the right way, comrade!” I would warn myself against being too naive and gullible in relation to our partners.”

And here is the most key phrase: “We must believe in the great Russian people. This faith is the key to the success of the entire country.” And this faith, from the point of view of GDP, is obviously also the key to the success of his next presidential term. And it’s just around the corner.
