    The “Russian Seasons” project summed up the results of the year in Uzbekistan

    MOSCOW, December 18 The largest international project “Russian Seasons” to present Russian culture abroad has summed up the results of the annual program in Uzbekistan , reported the press service of the project.

    “When we launched the “Russian Seasons” in May of this year, we were in anticipation, we had huge plans. And now, when we finish the “Russian Seasons”, our hearts are both warm and sad. So much has happened during this time! We were really able to hold a lot of events. But this would not have happened if we had not been so received, if our colleagues from the Republic of Uzbekistan had not supported and helped us so much,” said State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Nadezhda Rev. .

    She thanked the government and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as everyone who participated in the project’s activities.
    “Russian Seasons” proved that culture has no boundaries. There is absolutely sincere friendship between our countries, which has become even stronger over this time. And for us this is an opportunity and a challenge for further cooperation in the field of culture,” noted Nadezhda Reverend.
    “Russian Seasons” were held in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first time in 2023. They opened on the stage of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater named after Alisher Navoi in May with the play “12” by the Theater and Cinema Center under the direction of Nikita Mikhalkov. Subsequently, 38 events took place in different cities. Among them is the exhibition of the Russian National Museum of Music “Rachmaninov and Chaliapin. Parallels and intersections”, master classes by teachers from GITIS and VGIK. As well as a concert of the famous opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov, tours of the Puppet Theater named after S. V. Obraztsov and the Satyricon Theater, lectures and cartoon screenings of the Soyuzmultfilm Studio, a series of concerts by the opera diva Khibla Gerzmava, the Chamber Ensemble “Moscow Soloists” conducted by Yuri Bashmet .

    “We are interested in developing comprehensive cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia and are confident that intercultural dialogue provides our peoples with a broad opportunity to understand each other more deeply and better. The practice of cooperation between our countries indicates great opportunities in the field of culture in strengthening bilateral relations. I would like to thank the ministry culture of the Russian Federation for active joint cooperation. I hope that our friendly relations will continue to develop,” said Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Murodjon Majidov.

    The closing ceremony of the “Russian Seasons” in Uzbekistan ended with a concert of the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra theater directed by Valery Gergiev. The concert was also attended by soloists – laureates of the XVII International Competition. P. I. Tchaikovsky.
    A photo exhibition was organized at the Palace of International Forums, where the best moments of the “Russian Seasons” in the Republic of Uzbekistan were presented.

    The international project “Russian Seasons” to present Russian culture abroad is held annually. Its mission is to present Russia as a country that carefully preserves and develops its rich cultural heritage and traditions. The topics and formats of the events are varied: from classical music concerts and theater productions to film festivals, art exhibitions and educational projects. In total, during its existence, “Russian Seasons” was visited by more than 13 million spectators.

    The “Russian Seasons” brand appeared more than a hundred years ago, when in 1908, the famous artist Sergei Diaghilev began holding performances of Russian opera stars in Europe and ballet, as well as an exhibition of masterpieces of fine art. The fabulous Firebird, which personifies light, warmth, luck and rebirth in Russian folk tales, is a symbol of the project in our time.
    “Russian Seasons” was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
