MOSCOW, Dec 22More than 600 designers from 51 regions of the Russian Federation took part in the largest project of the Creative Industries Agency “Design Factory 2.0” in 2023, the press service of the capital’s Department of Culture reported.
«Over the year, the project «Design Factory 2.0» implemented four tracks — «Technological Sovereignty», «Export», «Life», «Sustainability». In total, 359 tasks were presented from 190 customer companies. 660 took part in the events designers from 51 regions of Russia,” said the head of the capital’s department of culture, Alexey Fursin, whose words are quoted in the press service.
It is noted that over two years, 70 Russian regions took part in the project program, bringing together 265 customers and about a thousand designers.
«The finalists of the tracks «Life» and «Sustainability» in the final program presented the design of such items as modular apartments for the Arctic zone, a bionic constructor house, customized furniture for various purposes, souvenirs about the ancient heritage of Russia, space watches, bags for drones, glasses to stimulate circadian rhythms and much more,” the department said.
The department clarified that the main topics of discussion were trends in solutions — adaptability, modularity, scenarios; object design between identities, play and scenarios and industrial design trends.
«Design Factory» is one of the key projects of the Creative Industries Agency. The competition is aimed at solving the main task of including industrial design in the production chains of Russian industrial companies, creating high-quality original import-substituting design solutions for domestic manufacturers, as well as building communications between designers and large customers.
