ST. PETERSBURG, December 25. Teenagers accused of attacking migrant janitors in St. Petersburg were given a preventive measure, one of them was taken into custody, the second was banned from certain actions, reports the joint press service of the city courts.
«The Kalininsky District Court of St. Petersburg considered the investigation's petitions to select preventive measures in the form of detention in relation to minors accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 213 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,» the press reports. service.
One was given a preventive measure in the form of detention until February 21, and the other was prohibited from certain actions for the same period, the press service clarifies.
Earlier, with reference to the press service of the GUMVD for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, it was reported that two sixteen-year-old teenagers were detained on suspicion of attacks on janitors, among whom the majority were citizens of neighboring countries. Thus, in December, employees of the regional Center for Combating Extremism discovered videos of attacks on people on the Internet. A criminal case was opened under the article of hooliganism. And on December 23, the teenagers were detained on charges of five attacks committed from December 15 to 20 on street cleaners, and four of the victims are citizens of neighboring countries.
