Chairman of the Board of Novikombank Elena Georgieva, curator of the Voronezh regional branch (VRO) of the Union of Mechanical Engineers of Russia, took part in the final meeting of the board of the Voronezh branch of SoyuzMash of Russia. During the meeting, members of the Regional Council of the public organization discussed the results of the work of the VRO for 2023 and identified tasks, the solution of which will contribute to the further development of the economy of the region in general and Voronezh enterprises in particular.
The Voronezh branch of SoyuzMash Russia unites a number of the largest enterprises and universities in the region. Leading Russian manufacturers in such areas as radio electronics, heavy engineering, instrument making, aircraft manufacturing, telecommunications and information technology are gathered here. Since 2018, the Chairman of the Board of Novikombank Elena Georgieva has been overseeing this department, whose activities are aimed at creating a stable economic, technological and social environment for strong industrial growth in the region.
In her address to the members of the VRO Regional Council, Chairman of the Board of Novikombank Elena Georgievaplaced emphasis on the key condition for achieving technological sovereignty – the availability of highly qualified engineering personnel, their constant retraining taking into account the production of import-substituting products.
Novikombank has identified support for industrial personnel as a separate priority area of its activities. As part of the business program of the military-technical forum “Army-2023”, the bank held a round table on the topic “Structural transformation: human resources.” At it, experts, including representatives of Voronezh universities – VSFLTU and VSTU, discussed the role of training new generation engineers in the development of domestic industry.
Summing up the results of the year, the meeting participants noted that in general, in 2023, the Voronezh branch significantly expanded the number of events held. In May 2023, Novikombank became an active participant in the XIII Interregional Voronezh Industrial Forum. Also, with the support of the Rostec support bank, the Voronezh regional branch of the Union of Mechanical Engineers held an extended meeting, moderated by Anatoly Kuznetsov, Chairman of the VRO SoyuzMash of Russia. The main topic of the meeting was a discussion of the tasks of developing the regional machine-building complex, which is the basis of the competitive and innovative economy of the region.
Also on the sidelines of the forum, Novikombank and Voronezh Regional District entered into a number of trilateral cooperation agreements. This is the development of interaction with the Department of Social Protection and the Department of Education of the Voronezh Region, as well as the Voronezh Regional Branch of the public organization “OPORA Russia” and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the region. Within the framework of the signed agreements, projects aimed at solving social issues have already been implemented.
In addition, the WRO supports and develops the Union’s initiatives aimed at holding educational and career guidance events. The backbone bank of Russian industry has traditionally acted as a partner of the International Industrial Forum “Engineers of the Future 2023”, establishing a special nomination “Engineering Vanguard” at it.
