The upper stage for Angara flight tests arrived at the Vostochny Cosmodrome

MOSCOW, December 25 The Orion upper stage for flight testing of the Angara rocket has arrived at the Vostochny cosmodrome, Roscosmos reported on Telegram.
“Orion” arrived at Vostochny. The Orion upper stage in a technological flight design is intended for the second stage of complex testing, as well as flight testing of the Amur space rocket complex,” the statement says.
It is noted that electrical and pneumatic vacuum testing of the unit will begin in the near future.

Roscosmos previously reported that the upper stage was sent on December 22, and the first flight Angara-A5 rocket was also delivered to the cosmodrome.

The first launch of the Angara from Vostochny is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2024.
«Amur» is the name of the Angara missile complex at Vostochny. Launch and technical facilities have been built there since 2018. Comprehensive launch tests took place from November 16 to December 11, 2023.
