MOSCOW, December 26 Turkish specialist Fatih Terim appointed head coach Greek football club “Panathinaikos”, according to the team's official website.
In this post, 70-year-old Terim replaced Serbian Ivan Jovanovic. The team is in second place in the Greek Championship standings, one point behind the leading PAOK.
Terim's previous place of work was the Turkish Galatasaray, which he left in January 2022 by mutual agreement of the parties. Together with the Istanbul team, Fatih Terim became the champion of Turkey eight times, won the Turkish Cup three times and the Super Cup five times. In 2000, Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup under his leadership. He also coached the Italian AC Milan and led the Turkish national team to the semi-finals of the 2008 European Championship.
