Media: Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke received the Order of the British Empire

MOSCOW, December 30 Actress Emilia Clarke, widely known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the series “Game of Thrones,” received the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her charitable work: helping patients who have survived brain damage, writes the Daily Mail.
«The 37-year-old actress and her mother Jennifer decided to set up a charity to help people recovering from brain damage called SameYou… Emilia and her mother Jennifer have been recognized for their charitable work — both were awarded MBEs empire,» the newspaper writes.

The actress herself suffered intracerebral hemorrhage twice, once almost falling into a coma. Her own experience prompted the actress to found an organization to help people with rehabilitation after brain damage and strokes.
