The dog began to smell blood
New details have emerged about the murder of 90-year-old Roman Legoida, the father of a famous public figure, former press secretary of the Patriarch of All Rus' Vladimir Legoida. A 56-year-old native of Azerbaijan, who was walking his dog during the day, told how the animal discovered the body of a deceased pensioner.
As MK learned, the man was walking with an eight-year-old shepherd dog named “Jack” near the village of Churilkovo near Moscow. It was still light, about 15 o'clock. Suddenly the dog began to forcefully pull the owner’s leash towards the road. The man listened to his furry friend and followed the tracks of the animal, when suddenly from afar he saw the body of a man by the side of the road. Approaching a little closer, he saw a bloody body covered with snow, on whose chest lay several sticks. The man became convinced that the old man was not breathing. Then the eyewitness quickly called 112. After 15 minutes, law enforcement officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene of the emergency. Medical workers pronounced the man dead. A little later it became known that about 4 hours had passed since the murder.
Law enforcement officers soon detained a 25-year-old criminal, whom the pensioner agreed to give him a ride in his Hyundai Creta. The killer inflicted 20 stab wounds on an elderly man, stole 100 thousand rubles and pushed the pensioner’s body onto the side of the road near SNT Meshcherino-Churilkovo. According to Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, part of the stolen funds was discovered during a search in the suspect’s rented apartment.
