Ghislaine Maxwell feared being questioned via email about her relationship with Prince Andrew

Ghislaine Maxwell has told her lawyers she has concerns about her relationship with Prince Andrew, according to a newly released court document.

In a message to her lawyer and public relations consultant, Maxwell said she had “big questions” about her “relationship with [Bill] Clinton” and “Andrew.”

Her allegations prompted dozens of Epstein's victims to come forward and led in part to his arrest for sex trafficking in July 2019.

Maxwell has since been jailed for 20 years in the US for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors.

In a disturbing email after Ms Giuffre filed court papers in Florida, accusing Maxwell of trafficking her, Maxwell wrote: “I am unable to comprehend [sic] libel and other legal dangers and do not want to end up with a lawsuit directed at me from anyone if I can help it.

“Clearly even saying that Virginia is a liar [sic] is dangerous! I have never been prosecuted criminally or civilly and want to keep it that way.”

She added: “I have been trying to stay away from litigation or hiring lawyers for years because I get lost in the legal nightmare of the USA.”

Her message shows concern about press and legal questions about her. relationship with Prince Andrew, who was sued separately by Ms Giuffre and received an undisclosed sum.

“I've already suffered such a terrible and painful loss in the last few days that I can't even imagine what he'll look like after the press. for additional questions,” Ms. Maxwell wrote.

“What is my relationship with Clinton? Andrey, further and further. Let's rest until Monday. I need free space.”

The email was released after Loretta Preska, a New York judge, unsealed previously confidential court papers in Ms. Giuffre's defamation suit against Maxwell.

She said there were no legal reasons why the documents should not be made public, and noted that many of the details had already appeared in the media.

The documents allege that Maxwell knew “influential people with whom she could contact Epstein,” including the prince.

The lawsuit alleges that the alias “Jane Doe No. 3,” purportedly Ms. Giuffre, was maintained as a sex slave of Epstein and “forced to engage in sexual relations with this prince while she was a minor in three different geographic locations: in London (in Ghislaine Maxwell's apartment), in New York and on Epstein's private island in the US Virgin Islands (in an orgy with many other underage girls).Epstein instructed her to “give the Prince everything he demanded and demanded that Jane Doe #3 report to him the details of the sexual abuse,” according to the document.

It said Maxwell “facilitated Prince Andrew's acts of sexual assault violence, acting as a “madame” for Epstein.”

In another document, Alfredo Rodriguez, Epstein's housekeeper, said the prince would call Epstein once a week.

When asked whether he was visiting whether Prince Andrew was Epstein's private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Maxwell said in an unsealed deposition that the prince was there, but the girls were not there.

When asked how many times he visited, Maxwell said he visited Epstein's private island in the US Virgin Islands. she said: “I can only remember once.”

When asked if there were girls under the age of 18 on the island at the time, Maxwell replied: “There were no girls on the island at all.

“No girls, no women, except for the staff who work in the house. Girls, I mean, I assume you're asking about minors, but other than the cooks and cleaners there was no one female.”
