MOSCOW, December 28 Participation in blogger Anastasia Ivleeva’s party at the Mutabor club cannot be grounds for depriving singer Philip Kirkorov of the title of People’s Artist, the singer’s lawyer said Alexander Dobrovinsky.
Earlier, the Ministry of Culture was asked to deprive Philip Kirkorov of the title of People's Artist for participating in a party with a nude dress code at the Mutabor club.
“”The title of People's Artist Philip Kirkorov was awarded for his creativity, how can participation in Ivleeva's party be grounds for his deprivation? What does his creativity have to do with the fact that he did not go where the public liked? Even if he deservedly did not I like it. Let's take Dostoevsky. A great writer, a rare bastard as a person. To deprive Dostoevsky of the title of writer? Ridiculous. The petition is about nothing, as much as it has to do with the party,” Dobrovinsky said.
The party organized by Ivleeva in the capital's club “Mutabor” with a dress code requiring one to appear half-naked, caused a negative resonance in society. Ivleeva and a number of participants in the event were forced to make excuses, the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow registered a class action lawsuit against the blogger for 1 billion rubles in compensation for moral damage, and rapper Vacío (Nikolai Vasiliev), who came to the party wearing only a sock, was arrested for 15 days.
