MOSCOW, January 3 Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree for the development of culture and art, the corresponding decree is posted on the official portal of legal information.
«For great services in the development of national culture and art, many years of fruitful creative activity, award: the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, to Nikolai Maksimovich Tsiskaridze, acting rector of the federal state budgetary institution of higher education «Academy of Russian Ballet named after A. I. Vaganova,» the message says.
Ballet dancer, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Rector of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet Tsiskaridze was born on December 31, 1973 in Tbilisi (Georgia) in the family of a violinist and a school teacher.
Tsiskaridze toured many countries around the world, performed on the stages of leading theaters such as La Scala in Milan (Italy), New National Theater in Tokyo (Japan), Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris (France) and others.
