The presentation of prototypes of the future sedan and minivan of the Japanese brand took place as part of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which takes place in Las Vegas .
The Honda brand, which recently refused to produce mass-produced electric vehicles in partnership with General Motors, continues to develop its own “green” new products. This time the company brought a couple of show cars to the CES-2024 exhibition — Saloon and Space-Hub — opening the new global Honda 0 (zero) series. It is known that the production version, based on the concept sedan, will appear on the North American market in 2026.

Honda Saloon is a two-door electric car with a single-volume streamlined body of an unusual shape. The company is positioning it as a driver-focused sports car and promises “the ultimate driving pleasure.” It is noted that when creating the concept, the manufacturer used environmentally friendly materials to create the interior and exterior. Honda also claims that, despite the wedge-shaped body, the “green” sports car is “more spacious than people might imagine.”
The show car has gull-wing doors, an unusual “nose” with lighting and animation, “modest” head optics designed in retro style, as well as wheels with an unusual pattern, shod in low-profile tires. The stern was decorated with a similar element in the form of a rectangle with rounded corners and red lighting, acting as lanterns. The Honda Saloon is based on a new platform designed for electric vehicles of the Japanese manufacturer.

The company said that this concept sedan will form the basis of the first production model of the Honda 0 series. According to the plan, the new product will go on sale in 2026. The first region for it will be North America, followed by the home market, other countries in Asia, as well as Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South America.

It is not yet clear whether the second concept that Honda brought to CES has production prospects. We are talking about the Space-Hub minivan, which is designed in the same style as the Saloon and also has a single-volume body. The front part received a similar element with lighting and animation, but its head optics are located on the sides of the rectangle, and not above.

This concept also has black front and center pillars, a glass roof, and the back of the electric car is blank and has no glass. Along the perimeter of the stern there are red glowing stripes that act as lanterns. Closer to the center of the plug at the back you can see the brand name highlighted. The show car's interior resembles a living room, which means it is suitable as a place to relax, a mobile office or a meeting room.

Both Honda concepts received an updated brand logo, which will be received by all new electric vehicles of the Japanese brand. It is still made in the shape of the letter “H”, but it looks different, in addition, the letter has lost its frame; the company noted that it symbolizes “two outstretched hands.” There is practically no information about the technology of show cars yet. It is known that the maximum range on a single charge will exceed 480 km.
