Lerchek dramatically changed her image due to health problems

MOSCOW, January 9. Blogger Lerchek (Valeria Chekalina) reported on her Instagram page* that she decided to make dramatic changes in appearance due to health problems.
According to the celebrity, she had to cut off her long hair because that they fell out due to stress. In recent months, Chekalina has been worried a lot about problems with taxes.

The blogger attached a video to the text. In the first shot, she cuts off her long hair in tears. In the next one, Chekalina appears with sleek short hair and bright makeup, showing that she has accepted her new self.

In the comments under the publication, users’ opinions differed. Some criticized her hair and makeup. Others, on the contrary, praised him for his courage and wrote that now Lerchek looks “luxurious and beautiful.”

In the spring of 2023, two criminal cases were opened against Chekalina and her husband Artem.
The first is about tax evasion of 311 million rubles. The second case is about money laundering on a particularly large scale.

According to the investigation, the blogger used a simplified taxation system, although her income exceeded the maximum permissible limit. Also, in April 2021, the Chekalins legalized more than 130 million rubles, buying dollars with them, thus disguising the connection of the legalized money with a criminal source of origin.

At the end of November, the arrest was lifted from Lerchek’s account, she paid off the debt to the state , including fines and penalties. As the lawyer stated, in total Chekalina transferred about 500 million rubles to the treasury.
The investigation lasted 9 months, during which time Chekalina and her husband were prohibited from using the Internet.
Lerchek became famous thanks to fitness marathons, she has about ten million followers on Instagram*.
