The city of Novomoskovsk in the Tula region, one of the largest in the region (119,697 people as of 2021), was completely left without heating, reports the Mash Telegram channel.
According to journalists, the whole reason was an accident at the Novomoskovskaya State District Power Plant, which occurred some time ago. As a result, 372 apartment buildings, 10 schools, 16 kindergartens and one hospital are without heating. The temperature in the city is now minus 12 degrees.
The message says that at the state district power station the high-voltage input of the transformer switch has failed. Now specialists are making efforts to restore the operation of the equipment.
