MOSCOW, January 14, Viktor Zvantsev. A reprimand to a policeman and a criminal case against the mother of juvenile hooligans—the scandal that arose after an attack on a fifth-grader continues in the Sverdlovsk region. They got involved in the case at the federal level. About the resonant story — in the material .
«I filmed everything on the phone»
About the brutal beating of 11-year-old Sveta in Nizhny Tagil (the name of the minor has been changed) social networks and local media reported in early January, although the incident itself occurred on December 29.
Near school No. 56, two students attacked a boy and a girl from their class. They threw me to the ground and kicked me. And all this happened in front of the hooligans’ mother, but she did not interfere. On the contrary, she drove away those who tried to stop the beating and filmed what was happening on a mobile phone camera.
“For some reason, the school security guard also did not react,” says Yulia, the mother of one of the schoolchildren from the same class. “Only the physical education teacher helped.”
The boy was not seriously injured, but the girl was hospitalized with injuries head and abdomen, as well as numerous bruises. The doctors passed the information on to the police. Parents of other students who witnessed the conflict filed an application with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The district investigative department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article “Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.” However, both attackers — natives of Azerbaijan — have not reached the age of criminal responsibility.
«Police officers also opened administrative proceedings against the father and mother of the teenagers for improper upbringing,» the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region clarified. «Their children, whom 12 and 13 years old, registered with the local traffic police service.»
Friends say: she is “a very decent woman.” “She works all her life, doesn’t drink or smoke,” Yulia emphasizes. “My father now works at a factory. Sveta has never needed anything.”
It didn’t hurt Deputy head of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police colonel Taras Bulgakov, left a provocative comment in the local public on VK: “They made a big deal out of nothing.” And an emoticon with a man covering his face with his hand.
He quickly deleted the comment, but users managed to take a screenshot. After an internal inspection, the colonel was subject to “strict disciplinary action.”
Two newcomers
The investigation was taken under personal control by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, and all materials were transferred to the regional department.
Another criminal case was opened under the article “Negligence”. According to the Investigative Committee, conflict situations between the brothers and the victim arose before, including at school. However, no one did anything.
“These guys were transferred to us only this school year,” notes Yulia. “Previously, the class lived very friendly. The new ones kept to themselves, bullied children, especially girls. To the comments «They didn't react. Sveta especially got it.»
«Hit me on the head»
Recently, the regional department of the Investigative Committee opened a case under the articles “Hooliganism” and “Involving minors in committing a serious crime” against the mother of the hooligans. According to investigators, she also hit Sveta on the head with her hand.
“At parent meetings, we complained about her sons,” continues Yulia. “They said that they offended the girls, asked to have a conversation with them. She reacted inappropriately: they say, there is no need to teach her how to raise children.”
< br />If the mother’s guilt is proven in court, she faces up to eight years in prison. Investigators are also checking information that the victim has received threats.
Although the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the brothers would be placed in a juvenile center in the near future, they still attend school. “They, of course, have quieted down,” adds Yulia. “But we are still afraid for our children and want the hooligans to be isolated.”
Sveta has already been discharged from the hospital. Concerned citizens raised money, with which local community activists hired a lawyer for the girl’s family. People hope that this story will not be allowed to go unnoticed and that a well-deserved punishment will follow.
