Externally, the liftback will change little, but it will become more powerful. In addition, the five-door will receive new equipment.
A large electric liftback with index 001 appeared in the extensive range of the Chinese holding Geely in 2021. It is curious that the harbinger of the five-door debuted under the Lynk & Co (a joint project between Gili and Volvo), but in the end the production model was “given” to another sub-brand – the premium Zeekr, which was created specifically for “greenery”. The Chinese liked the expensive electric car. According to local specialized media, in 2023, over 76,200 units were sold in the homeland, while, for example, the Mercedes-Benz EQE sold 9,123 units. And now a restyled liftback is approaching: pictures of the modernized Zeekr 001 and its main characteristics have been added to the database of the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China.

There will be no significant changes in the exterior design. So, the “electric train” will get different bumpers, and they will be designed in the style of the “hot” four-engine Zeekr 001 FR (the sports car has been in service since last fall, it has not yet received new things). The palette of body colors will also be expanded; in addition, Zeekr 001 will receive wheels of a new design. Finally, after restyling, the model will have a version with lidar. The length of the liftback will increase by 7 mm to 4977 mm, the wheelbase will remain the same (3005 mm).

Photo spies looked into the interior earlier, but the inside of the liftback will not change conceptually either – except that the buttons on the doors and finishing materials will be replaced. Well, the liftback can also get the latest version of the multimedia system.
As before, the Zeekr 001 will be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, while the engines will become more powerful: the output of the basic single-engine five-door will be 421 hp, the total power of the all-wheel drive dual-engine Zeekr will be 788 hp. (the front electric motor produces 367 hp). And following the Zeekr 007 sedan, the restyled liftback will receive an 800-volt electrical system. There is no information about batteries yet. The cheapest pre-reform Zeekr 001 has a 272-horsepower electric motor and a 100 kWh battery; the rated range of such a liftback is 741 km on the CLTC cycle. The all-wheel drive output of the previous Zeekr 001 is 544 hp, for this modification you can choose a battery with a capacity of 86 or 100 kWh (power reserve – 560 or 656 km).

In China, the premiere of the updated model will take place later this year. The Zeekr brand is not officially represented in Russia, but dealers have long organized “parallel” deliveries of premium electric cars.
