MOSCOW, January 17 Russian President Vladimir Putin recommended the Supreme Court and law enforcement agencies to analyze the practice of using artificial intelligence (AI) in the investigation of crimes, the corresponding instruction is contained in list published on the Kremlin website.
“”To recommend that the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, together with the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Ministry of Justice of Russia, analyze the practice of using artificial intelligence technologies in the investigation of crimes and, if necessary, submit proposals for it improvement,” says the list of instructions.
Execution date: July 1, 2024. Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, head of the RF Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, head of the Ministry of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko and Chairman of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev were appointed responsible.
