The Jetour brand, owned by Chery, has officially announced in Russia the angular mid-size crossover T2, known in China under the name Traveler. Jetour dealers are already accepting pre-orders for T2, full sales will begin in March.
Jetour T2/Traveler is one of the most desirable new products of Chinese origin in Russia: this SUV entered the home market last fall, and will appear at Russian dealers in March. For our country, only all-wheel drive versions with a 2.0-liter SQRF4J20 gasoline turbo engine have been announced; in China, its maximum output is 254 hp. and 390 Nm, for Russia it is reduced to a comfortable 245 hp from a tax point of view. and 375 Nm. The gearbox is a 7-speed automatic DCT type (with two clutches), the power to the rear wheels is automatically transferred to the sixth generation BorgWarner clutch, the rear differential is self-locking, electronically controlled.
The Jetour press service slyly calls the T2 an SUV, although it is clear that in design it is a typical crossover, but its geometric cross-country ability is really good: ground clearance – 220 mm, approach angle – 28 degrees, departure angle – 28 degrees, fording depth – 700 mm. The torsional rigidity of the supporting body is 31,000 Nm/degree. Overall length of the car – 4785 mm, width – 2006 mm, height – 1880 mm, wheelbase – 2800 mm.
In China, by the way, the Jetour Traveler is also front-wheel drive – such versions are equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine (184 l .s., 290 Nm) paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission of the DCT type. The front suspension of the crossover is McPherson type, the rear is multi-link.

The interior of the Jetour T2 is decorated in the same brutal square-nested style as the exterior. A 10.25-inch screen is mounted into the rectangular front panel, and a 15.6-inch multimedia tablet is screwed into the center, supporting voice control and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone interfaces. The trunk volume with the second row seats folded is 1494 liters.

Р crazy prices for Jetour T2 has not yet been announced; in China, the all-wheel drive version costs from 159,900 yuan (1.95 million rubles translated at the current exchange rate). The main competitor of the Jetour T2 in Russia will obviously be the very successful Haval Dargo, sales of which last year, according to AEB, amounted to 15,477 units.
