In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, a cat died in a fire at an animal shelter, hundreds of dogs were saved

One cat died in a fire at an animal shelter in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, REN TV reports.

In total, hundreds of animals were rescued from the burning building — 304 dogs and 55 cats, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. All pets were transported to another shelter, some were taken by concerned citizens.

It was previously reported that a fire broke out in the northern part of the Dog and Cat shelter.
