YEKATERINBURG, January 22 A man and a child died in a fire in a private house in Nevyansk, Sverdlovsk region, reports the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee RF.
According to the department, on Monday night in Nevyansk a fire broke out in one of the private houses, as a result of which a man and a little boy died. An inspection has been organized.
“The tragic incident could have occurred due to faulty electrical equipment used in everyday life. The exact causes of the fire and the death of the two victims will be established during fire-technical and forensic examinations,” the Investigative Committee said in a release.
As Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told reporters, the identities of the deceased man and child have been established. “This is a local resident, born in 1982, who worked as a milling operator at a commercial enterprise, and his son, born in 2021, who has not even attended preschool yet,” Gorelykh said.
The house was also inhabited by the wife of the deceased, who was on maternity leave, and their 8-year-old daughter, who managed to run out into the street in time during the fire and were not injured. According to preliminary data, the fire with the death of people does not have a criminal background, a police representative noted.
