Avito Auto experts analyzed statistics on sales of used cars of premium brands aged up to 3 years in Russia in 2023. Over the year, Russians bought 16% more cars in this segment. The most popular premium car models are the BMW X5, Lexus RX, BMW 5 Series, BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
< p class="p-first-letter">The average cost of a three-year-old premium car with mileage in Russia in 2023 was 6,900,000 rubles. Premium brands accounted for 1.8% of total sales in the used car market. Compared to the previous year, the share of premium brands in the overall structure of the used car market has remained almost unchanged.
Over the past year, the used car market has noticeably stabilized, including in the premium segment. Suppliers have successfully mastered parallel import channels and were able to provide consumers with cars of familiar brands, in modern configuration and in good condition. The fact that the market is getting back on track is also evidenced by the increased activity of buyers and sellers on online platforms with purchase and sale advertisements. From BMW X5 to Mercedes-Benz E-Class: the best-selling premium models of used cars
The rating of the most popular premium models on the market of used cars under 3 years of age is headed by a crossover BMW X5 – in 2023, the model accounted for 5.7% of all sales in this segment. The average price of a BMW X5 was 8,900,000 rubles.
In second place is the Lexus RX crossover with an average price of 6,800,000 rubles. The model accounted for 4.5% of all sales of premium used cars.

The third place in the ranking is occupied by the BMW 5 Series sedan. This model was sold at an average price of 5,000,000 rubles. This car accounted for 4.2% of sales in the segment.
In fourth place in the ranking is the BMW X7 crossover, the price of which was 12,700,000 rubles. 3.7% of all premium used cars sold were of this particular model.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan moved to fifth place (the leader of the same rating in 2022) . Its average price was 4,900,000, and its share in sales was 3.6%.
Also in the top 10 best-selling models of premium cars with mileage under 3 years old Russians entered, in descending order of sales share: BMW X6, BMW 3 Series, BMW X3, Genesis GV80 (the model entered the top 10 for the first time) and Mercedes-Benz GLE-class.
