Roscosmos hopes to move to monetization of services after the adoption of the law

MOSCOW, January 23 Roscosmos hopes to switch to monetization of space services from January 1, 2025 after the adoption of the relevant law, said the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov in Tuesday.
The head of the state corporation said that the law on the monetization of space services is being discussed in the State Duma and has passed the first reading.

“We hope that it will appear, and from January 1, 2025 we will gradually switch to the monetization of space services. I don’t see There is no other way than to attract extra-budgetary funds to implement expensive projects related to the creation of multi-satellite constellations,” Borisov said at the Royal Readings.

He noted that 70% of multi-satellite constellations in the world are created for private money.
