MOSCOW, January 24 The court extended the seizure of property and funds of relatives of blogger Elena Blinovskaya until April 26, according to the Telegram channel of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Moscow.
“Today, in the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow, with the participation of Elena Blinovskaya, petitions from the investigative body of the capital's Investigative Committee to extend the period of seizure of the property and funds of the accused's relatives, as well as a number of controlled legal entities, were considered,” the message says.
< br />It is clarified that the court decided to extend the arrest period by 3 months, until April 26.
The blogger was detained in April 2023. She was accused of tax evasion and money laundering on an especially large scale and was put under house arrest.
According to the investigation, Blinovskaya received a large income from the sale of training courses and training marathons, but used a simplified accounting system. Thus, she did not pay the VAT and personal income tax provided for by the general taxation system. The Investigative Committee calculated that the blogger did not pay taxes totaling more than 918 million rubles for 2019-2021.
