The media report the detention in Belgorod of a volunteer girl who helped Ukrainian refugees

In Belgorod, the FSB detained volunteer Nadezhda Rossinskaya (Nadine Geisler), who has been helping Ukrainian refugees in the city since 2022. The detention of the volunteer was reported on February 1 by a number of telegram channels. According to available information, the girl is currently in the Belgorod FSB Directorate, she is accused of calling for activities against the security of the state. The criminal charge, according to publications, is based on calls to donate funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were allegedly distributed by the detainee.

Information about the detention of the volunteer was confirmed to the channel “Caution, News” by lawyer Evgeniy Sokolov.

It is known that the volunteer helped refugees from Ukraine who came to Belgorod, and also helped them return through the only functioning checkpoint — the Kolotilovka checkpoint. In the spring of 2022, a volunteer was fined 15 thousand rubles after she was detained in the center of Belgorod while distributing flowers to passers-by. It was reported that the girl attracted attention because her clothes were in yellow and blue colors.
