MOSCOW, February 2A wooden building caught fire on the territory of the Church of St. Nicholas of Myra in Moscow, the fire was quickly extinguished and did not cause damage to the temple, said a representative of the capital’s emergency services.
The incident occurred on the territory of the Chinese courtyard of the Patriarch Moscow and All Rus' at the Church of St. Nicholas of Myra in Golutvin.
«A wooden building caught fire on the territory of the temple in Golutvin on an area of 10 square meters. Address: 1st Golutvinsky Lane, 14,» the agency's interlocutor said.
According to him, the fire was extinguished at 16.07. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities, the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
“The cabin for the workers burned down. This happens. There was no damage or casualties, thank God,” said the rector of the church, Archpriest Igor (Zuev), at the scene.
