This week, Mini distributed photos of camouflaged prototypes of its upcoming new product, thanks to which we have the opportunity to get our own idea of the appearance of the SUV .
In the summer of 2022, the British brand, which is part of the BMW Group, demonstrated the concept of a compact crossover, which was named Aceman. And now its serial version of the same name is being prepared for its premiere, and photographs published recently allow us to estimate how much it will differ from the concept.

The crossover will retain the brightest detail of the front part — polygonal headlights and a wide LED strip along the perimeter, while the filling of their central part will become simpler. The outlines of the radiator grille will also be preserved — or rather, its imitation, since the car will be electric. Its interior will also be changed compared to the concept, and a slightly recessed rectangle will appear on top, which most likely represents an active cruise control radar. The angular wheel arches and key-type door handles, as on many other new Mini and BMW products, are virtually unchanged. Unlike the concept with its frameless doors, the production crossover will have doors with window frames. As with the front optics, the lights have completely retained their shape, except that the LED graphics imitating the British flag will be slightly different.

The dimensions of the new SUV are already known: its length will be 4075 mm, width — 1754 mm, height — 1495 mm. Thus, in terms of body dimensions, the new product will occupy an intermediate position between the new Mini Cooper hatchback (its length is 3858 mm) and the older third-generation Countryman crossover (4433 mm). The Aceman is expected to be offered with two battery options — 40.7 kWh and 54.2 kWh, similar to the electric hatchback. The electric motors will produce 184 hp. or 218 hp, they are located only on the front axle, accordingly, the drive is still exclusively front-wheel drive.

The premiere of the new Mini Aceman will take place on April 24 at the Beijing Auto Show. In China, the production of the crossover will be established in a joint venture between the BMW Group and Great Wall Motor (GWM). Marketers of the German company expect that Aceman will become the most popular model of the Mini brand.
Recall that at the end of last year they showed the most powerful version of the new Countryman crossover with the John Cooper Works prefix.
