The Lincoln Aviator has undergone a restyling following the related, but much more popular crossover Ford Explorer. The updated Aviator will go on sale in the North American market next summer.
The current second-generation Aviator has been in production since 2019 and is, in fact, a premium version of the sixth-generation Ford Explorer crossover. Both models are assembled in the USA and China, but while the American and Chinese versions of the Explorer differ significantly from each other in terms of design, the Aviator looks the same in all markets — at least for now.

Today the updated Aviator was presented for America. In China, the restyling of this model will probably go according to its own scenario, if at all. The Lincoln brand has not yet managed to become a noticeable player in the Chinese car market, and in its homeland it is stagnating: in 2023, Lincoln sales in the United States amounted to 81,818 vehicles, which is 2% less than sales in 2022. Specifically, the Aviator dropped by 29.2% last year, 15,551 units were sold.

The restyling brought the Aviator a larger radiator grille and new headlights with LED sticks in the lower part that pierce this grille. The shape of the front bumper has become more complex; a trim resembling a mustache has appeared under the radiator grille. The wheel design has been updated — 20, 21 and 22 inches are available. The stern was not affected by restyling.

The Aviator, unlike the Explorer, did not receive a new front panel in the cabin, but received an updated instrument screen (12.4 inches) and a 13.2-inch screen of the Lincoln Digital Experience multimedia system, which is a copy of the Ford Digital Experience system. All climate settings have been moved to the multimedia screen; there is no longer a separate microclimate block on the front panel of the Aviator, but there is a separate remote control for second-row passengers.

BlueCruise level 2 autopilot now comes standard, allowing you to drive on highways with your hands off the wheel. For an additional fee, a powerful Revel Ultima audio system with 28 speakers, luxury seats and four-zone climate control instead of three-zone are offered. The finish of the Aviator, of course, is richer than that of the Explorer: for the top version of the Black Label there are even panels made of natural wood with laser engraving. In the second row, two separate chairs can be installed instead of a solid three-seater sofa.

After restyling, the Aviator, like the Explorer, lost its hybrid power plant, you can now buy a premium crossover only with a 3.0-liter V6 petrol biturbo engine (406 hp, 563 Nm) paired with a 10-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Standard equipment now includes adaptive shock absorbers and a package for towing a trailer; adaptive air suspension Air Glide is offered as an option.
Prices for the updated Lincoln Aviator in the USA are already known: in the basic Premiere configuration, the crossover costs 59 $890 (delivery included), the top-end Black Label trim starts at $88,390, with all options the price goes up to $100,000.
