MOSCOW, February 6Vincent Van Gogh's painting «Portrait of a Peasant Woman in a White Cap» will be put up for sale in March at the annual international art and antiques fair Tefaf in the city of Maastricht in the Netherlands, the original price of the canvas is not reported, local writes NL Times edition.
"Portrait of a peasant woman in a white cap" painted by Van Gogh around 1884 in the village of Nuenen. Art historians call it a striking example of the artist’s early portraiture.

It is noted that the painting is being offered by the American gallery MS Rau from New Orleans, which did not disclose the asking price.
The Tfaf Fair will be open to the public from 9 to 14 March. This year, the fair will be visited by 270 gallery owners and antique dealers from 22 countries, who will offer paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photographs, etc. for sale.
