A criminal case has been opened regarding the detonation of an unidentified explosive device in the premises of a center for providing psychological assistance in Elista. This was reported by the investigative department of the RF Investigative Committee for the Republic of Kalmykia. The department clarified that as a result, one person died and two were seriously injured.

According to the investigation, a man who, according to preliminary data, was registered at a psycho-neurological dispensary, came for an appointment at the treatment center psychological assistance. During the reception, a conflict occurred during which a man detonated an unidentified explosive device. He himself died. An employee of the center and her relative were sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to the Shot Telegram channel, the victims are the chief freelance teacher-psychologist in the field of education of the Republic of Kalmykia, 35-year-old Namdzhil Yamanova and 37-year-old husband German, who came to pick her up from work.

Residents of the building in which the center is located were evacuated to a temporary accommodation center opened on the basis of secondary school N 17.
