MOSCOW, February 10 In Ukraine, they were outraged that Russian model Irina Shayk appeared on the cover of British Vogue magazine in underwear from a Ukrainian brand, writes Strana.ua.
The cover of the March issue was published on British Vogue's social networks. It features 40 of fashion's «greatest talents», including Russian model Irina Shayk. The website of the British magazine published details of how the photo shoot took place, and indicated that Shayk was wearing underwear from the Ukrainian brand ZHILYOVA.
As the publication notes, Ukrainian social network users paid attention to this and were indignant.
«Unfortunately, the filming is taking place in absolute secrecy, and the magazine team does not inform who exactly the brand's items will be used for. We learned about the fact of using our brand in the filming… with the release release,” says ZHILYOVA in a comment on the social network Instagram* when asked how he can comment on the fact that the Russian model was wearing underwear from their brand.
The brand noted that it has contacted the team to prevent “such situations” in the future.
