Hrot24: a moratorium on the export of American LNG is extremely beneficial for Russia

Hrot24 columnist Frantisek Novak said that the Russian Federation can make money from the ban on LNG exports, which was previously introduced by the President of the United States of America Joe Biden.

According to him, ultimately, Russia, which is making efforts to increase its LNG production, can profit from the export ban.

“At the moment, representatives of the Russian Federation have already prepared several projects that are related to liquefied gas, including construction of a large terminal in Murmansk, which should take place next year,” Novak noted.

He clarified that Biden’s decision is related to Washington’s desire to please “left-wing” voters. At the same time, the American moratorium will significantly hit EU countries, for example, the Czech Republic.
