The updated Skoda Octavia appeared alive without camouflage

The presentation of the modernized family will take place later this week. It is assumed that five-door cars will continue to be available with gasoline and diesel engines, and a full-fledged hybrid will also remain.

Design sketches of the restyled Skoda Octavia liftback and station wagon were distributed a week ago, and now the final video teaser has been published: it depicts “ living» cars, and without a shred of camouflage. The online premiere will be held on February 14. Let us remind you that Octavia has been in its current fourth generation since 2019; it remains the brand’s global bestseller: in 2023, about 191,900 units were sold worldwide (+36%).

Additional sections of daytime running lights appeared in the headlights; they were made in the form of beveled strips. In addition, the Skoda Octavia received new bumpers and a different radiator grille, and the diode filling was replaced in the rear lights. Well, the palette of body colors was also expanded — in particular, an orange car is visible in the teaser shots. As before, customers will also be offered a warmed-up Sportline version and a hotter RS ​​variant with a sportier look.

The interior was never illuminated. However, it’s easy to guess that a new multimedia system was installed inside – Octavia probably got larger screens. They could also replace the virtual tidy and climate control unit, plus the model was promised improved security systems.

< p>According to preliminary data, the Skoda Octavia retained the 1.0 STI petrol turbo three and 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI turbo fours, as well as the 2.0 TDI turbodiesel. At the same time, it is possible that the best-selling Skoda now has a mild-hybrid appendage. Of course, the full-fledged rechargeable hybrid iV remains in service — like other models of the Volkswagen group, this modification should switch from a 1.4 TSI turbo engine to a 1.5 TSI.
