Skoda Octavia has been in the current fourth generation since 2019. The model remains the brand's global bestseller: according to the company itself, approximately 191,900 units were sold worldwide in 2023, an increase of 36% compared to the previous year. And now the restyled liftback and station wagon are presented.

The Octavia received new bumpers, the radiator grille was also redesigned, and additional sections of daytime running lights appeared in the headlights — they were made in the form of beveled strips. In addition, the filling in the taillights was replaced. By the way, five-door cars now have LED optics as standard; for an additional fee you can order “new generation” matrix headlights and animated turn signals in the headlights. The design of the wheels has been revised (16-, 17-, 18- or 19-inch), and the palette of body colors has been expanded, although, for example, Phoenix Orange is only available for the Octavia Combi station wagon. In general, after restyling, the model began to look more aggressive.

The interior has different finishing materials, and the virtual instrument panel has also been replaced, with a 10-inch display now included in the base. The list of standard equipment was also supplemented by a 10-inch touchscreen multimedia system (previously, expensive versions had such a screen, “simple” versions had an 8-inch one) and dual-zone climate control. As an option — for the first time for the model — a central tablet with a diagonal of 13 inches is available. And later, the smart chat bot ChatGPT will be introduced into cars with the Laura branded voice assistant — a similar function has been announced for the restyled VW Golf. Artificial intelligence will expand the functionality of the assistant: for example, it will be able to provide information of interest, answer questions, or even maintain a conversation on general topics.

The 1.0 TSI petrol turbo engine (110 hp) has been retired. In Europe, the base model for the standard model is the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder turbo engine with a power of 115 hp; customers will also be offered the Skoda Octavia with a 150-horsepower version of this engine, with a six-speed manual transmission. For an additional fee, cars with one and a half liter engines can be “mild” hybrids — in this case, the liftback and station wagon will have a 48-volt add-on and 7DSG. As before, the range includes a 2.0 TDI turbodiesel with an output of 115 or 150 hp: the younger version is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, the more powerful version with a 7DSG. All listed versions are exclusively front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive will appear in the restyled Octavia next year — along with a 204-horsepower petrol 2.0 TSI (7DSG). /> 1/6 2/6 3/6 4/6 5/6 6/6
The “hot” Skoda Octavia RS will be available only with a petrol turbo engine, while the pre-reform model also has a 2.0 TDI diesel (200 hp) and a rechargeable hybrid version iV with an installation based on the 1.4 TSI (total output – 245 hp). But the 2.0 TSI engine has become more powerful — 265 hp. instead of 245 hp The updated Octavia RS has 7DSG, alas, it is also only front-wheel drive.

Note that Skoda’s release does not say anything about the iV rechargeable hybrid: either the company, contrary to the eco-trend, decided to abandon such a version, not then a separate premiere awaits him. Well, European dealers will open orders for pure petrol, mild hybrid and diesel Skoda Octavia in the spring.
