Russian machine gunner Alexei Neverov blew himself up with a grenade along with the enemy to save his fellow soldiers. RT reports this.

According to the hero’s wife Irina, he had combat experience. The man served in military service in Chechnya in 1994-1996. In July 2022, he volunteered for the Northern Military District.

Before the conflict began, Alexey worked on a shift basis. He confronted his wife with a fait accompli on the eve of his departure.

The publication writes that the military man took part in the battles near Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region on September 8, 2023, as part of the 108th Airborne Regiment.
