The qualifying stage for the new, sixth stream of the free offline educational program Architects.rf (implemented by DOM.RF) began on February 21 and will last until March 4 inclusive. In 2024, for the first time, there are no age restrictions for participants in the selection process for the program. Not only candidates with diplomas of architects and urban planners, but also sociologists, ecologists, geographers, cultural scientists, political scientists, economists, anthropologists, lawyers and specialists in the field of tourism and communications will be allowed to participate in the competitive selection. The full list of specialties is published on the program website.
At the first stage of the competitive selection, candidates will need to fill out an application and submit a professional portfolio. Successful candidates will be asked to complete a video interview. The final stage of the selection will be a meeting of the expert commission, which will determine the composition of the sixth stream of the offline program. Once again, hundreds of specialists from different regions of Russia will participate in the program.
Participants who have passed the qualifying selection will receive a program of four full-time modules. It includes various training formats, including research trips around Russia and abroad, lectures, leadership trainings, meetings with experts and work in project groups. This approach will help specialists gain teamwork skills, gain practice in delegating tasks, finding compromises and resolving conflict situations.
“During the implementation of the Architects.rf program, we trained 517 architects, municipal and state managers, urban planners and other specialists from 135 cities and 80 regions of Russia. Our graduates, including heads of relevant regional departments, chief city architects and other ambitious professionals, are already applying their acquired knowledge and creating high-quality projects for the urban environment throughout the country. This year, economists, lawyers and specialists in the field of tourism and communications will join the program for the first time. Thanks to such a wide range of specialties for future graduates, urban development will receive a new comprehensive impetus, and representatives of various professions will be able to make a significant contribution to improving the quality of life in their cities,” said Vitaly Mutko, General Director of DOM.RF.
In 2023, the finalists of the offline program Architects.rf visited 11 Russian cities. The international module took place in China: during this trip, participants got acquainted with the best architectural and urban planning practices of Shanghai and Hangzhou, and also met with the leadership of the Housing Construction and Rural-Urban Development Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Government. In addition, in the summer of 2024, a meeting of graduates and program participants with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin took place.
An application for participation in the leadership program can be sent on the website Architects.rf using a special form with February 21 to March 4 inclusive.
Also this year, two new online courses are planned to be released. Since the start of the program in 2018, 19 free courses have been published on the Architects.rf website, including “Greening urban public spaces”, “Restarting the Soviet: working with socio-cultural objects” and “Lighting design: designing an evening city”. All of them are available on the website after quick registration.
