In early February, the Korean company KG Mobility, that is, the former SsangYong, posted a video on the Internet in which, in addition to current models, two new products were captured — a conceptual electric pickup truck with the internal factory index O100 and a crossover prototype under the designation J120. The truck had already been exhibited before, but the SUV was shown for the first time. So now another video has been published, and it allows us to take a closer look at the upcoming SUV.

The SUV is a variation of the Torres model. Let us remind you that the original purely gasoline SUV has been in service since 2022, and last year an electric version with the EVX prefix and its own design entered the market. It is curious that the Korean specialized media dubbed the future cross Torres Coupe, although it can be called a coupe-like with a big stretch.

Be that as it may, the J120 also has an original appearance: the SUV has a differently designed rear pillars, in addition, it has new LED running lights and taillights, while there are additional luminous sections on the tailgate. The company did not talk about the J120 technology. The “traditional” KGM Torres is available at home with a 1.5 petrol turbo-four with a power of 170 hp, which is paired with a six-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The electric Torres EVX is exclusively front-wheel drive, equipped with a 207-horsepower motor and a 73.4 kW battery from the Chinese company BYD. By the way, some local media believe that the Torres Coupe will receive a hybrid installation.
