Lada Vesta has regained cruise control and increased in price

Sedans and station wagons previously lost the function that automatically maintains the set speed due to a shortage of components.

The restyled Lada Vesta family debuted two years ago, after which a batch of serially updated sedans and station wagons was produced at the Izhevsk plant. Then the conveyor was stopped due to a shortage of components. AVTOVAZ decided to move the production of Vesta to the Tolyatti site; production of cars here started in the spring of 2023, and sales of the refreshed four- and five-door cars began last summer. Now the AVTOVAZ press center has announced that the Lada Vesta has returned one of the “comfort and safety options”: we are talking about cruise control. The manufacturer noted that the model had previously lost this function due to a shortage of components. It is known that the first batches of Vest with cruise control have already arrived at dealer centers of the Russian brand.

The company recalled that cruise control ensures automatic maintenance of a given vehicle speed without the driver pressing the gas pedal. This system works in tandem with a speed limiter, which automatically sets the maximum permissible speed limit set by the driver. You can set cruise control using the buttons on the steering wheel; the indicator for the activated function is located on the instrument panel.

The manufacturer noted that cruise control is offered for most versions of the Lada Vesta family, starting with the Life configuration. The press service said that the recommended retail price of such a sedan is 1,602,900 rubles. At the same time, in the price list on the brand’s website, the cost of a four-door in the specified version is lower — 1,591,900 rubles (11 thousand cheaper).

Cruise control was not the only option that was recently returned to Lada Vesta sedans and station wagons. Thus, the model recently began to be equipped with an ERA-GLONASS device with an automatic call function, a pair of front airbags, and a toxicity reduction system to comply with the Euro-5 environmental standard.

Recall that the basic version of Vesta is Comfort, such options are equipped with a 1.6-liter eight-valve four-cylinder gasoline engine, its output is 90 hp. This same version, as well as all the others — Life, Enjoy and Techno — are offered with a 106-horsepower, 16-valve, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Both engines are paired with only a five-speed gearbox.

As Kolesa.ru reported last month, in the future the Vesta range will be expanded due to a modification that is equipped with a 1.8 Evo engine running in tandem with automatic transmission. There are no details about this technique yet. The appearance of the new top version of the model is scheduled for this year.
