Liftback Changan Uni-V has undergone restyling: official photos

The five-door has had its exterior design tweaked, but there are practically no new things in the interior. The updated model should enter the Chinese market in the near future.

In Russia, the Changan Uni-V liftback officially launched last year. But in China, the five-door has been available since 2022, and now a restyled model has been announced there. However, the brand still didn’t have a surprise. Firstly, the modernized liftback has already appeared in the photo of the local Ministry of Industry, and secondly, last year a hybrid version received a similar design, which is sold in its homeland under the separate Qiyuan brand: this five-door carries the A06 index.

Be that as it may, the restyling brought a new front bumper to the Changan Uni-V. The frameless radiator grille was left, but instead of “strokes” it now features a lot of triangles. A luminous strip and — again — triangles appeared between the headlights. At the rear, only the location of the exhaust system pipes has changed: they are now double and located in the middle. As before, a retractable spoiler is provided for the liftback. The length of the Uni-V has increased by 40 mm to 4720 mm. Wheelbase is the same 2750 mm.

The interior is the same, only the finishing materials have been replaced. Apparently there is no new equipment either. The arsenal of the pre-reform liftback includes a parking assistant, adaptive cruise control, auto braking, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring systems.

It is curious that, despite the presence of the electrified Qiyuan A06 in the range, the updated Uni-V liftback is also announced only as a rechargeable hybrid. The installation of the updated model of the parent brand Changan includes a 110-horsepower naturally aspirated 1.5 gasoline engine. There will be two modifications to choose from — with an electric motor with a power of 190 or 215 hp, the battery seems to also have two options (there are no exact characteristics yet).

The pre-reform hybrid Changan Uni-V has a 1.5 turbo-four (170 hp), a 170-horsepower electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 18.4 kWh. Well, the purely petrol pre-restyling Uni-V in China is now available with 1.5 (188 hp) and 2.0 (233 hp) turbo engines, the base engine is combined with a seven-speed “robot” with two clutches, the second one is equipped with a classic eight-speed automatic. In any case, the drive is only front-wheel drive.

The Changan liftback with a new design will be released to the home market in the near future. It is possible that such a five-door will later reach Russia. Today we present Uni-V with a 181-horsepower 1.5T and 7DCT at a price of 2,859,900 rubles (excluding shares).
