FSB in Mordovia found a ninth-grader who twice “mined” the school to cancel classes
The press service of the Russian FSB Office for Mordovia reports that department employees found a ninth-grader who was sending out messages about a “bomb” at school in order to achieve the cancellation of classes.
According to the press service, during the operational search activities, a 15-year-old student of the 9th grade of the Kadoshkinsky secondary school was identified. It is noted that in December 2023 and January of this year, the teenager organized a mailing about threats to commit a terrorist attack in a school building; his letters with a message about “mining” were sent to the e-mail of the local administration. At the same time, law enforcement officers did not find any explosive devices or explosives at the scene.
As the press service noted, during the interview the suspect explained his actions with a desire to disrupt training sessions. A criminal case has been initiated into the incident under Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Knowingly false report of an act of terrorism”).
