According to preliminary data, in export markets the new SUV with a brutal design will be available both with an internal combustion engine and with a hybrid installation.
In its native China, this Haval cross launched at the beginning of last year. There, the model is positioned as a second-generation DaGou, and the previous crossover was not removed from sales. The “first” Haval DaGou in other countries, including Russia, is presented as Dargo. However, the global new SUV will still turn out to be a separate model: the H7 index will be revived for such a five-door. It is curious that the assignment of this name to the crossover first became known in December 2023 as part of a conference for Russian dealers. Now a similar event was held in South Africa, and it was there that the Haval H7 appeared again. Obviously, the model will appear in other markets of the brand with the same designation.
There has not yet been a separate official presentation of the Haval H7, so for now we are admiring the photo of the second generation Haval DaGou. The global cross as a whole will repeat the model for China
Recall that the crossover is based on the same Lemon platform on which the “first” DaGou/Dargo was built; both cars have a monocoque body and basic front-wheel drive. At the same time, the new Haval H7 is larger: length – 4705 mm, width – 1908 mm, height – 1780 mm, wheelbase – 2810 mm. For comparison, the length of the Russian standard Haval Dargo is 4620 mm, the distance between the axles is 2738 mm.

It is assumed that the new Haval H7 will be offered with a 2.0 petrol turbo-four, as well as in the form of a hybrid with an installation based on a 1.5 turbo engine (the hybrid version will also reach the Russian Federation). The model is equipped with all-wheel drive. In China, the “second” Haval DaGou is available with similar equipment; in addition, there you can also buy a purely gasoline SUV with a junior 1.5T engine.

The global H7 will probably have the same list of equipment as in the Middle Kingdom. That is, the model will receive a virtual tidy, a multimedia system with a large touchscreen, climate control, a panoramic roof, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, all-round cameras, auto braking and lane keeping systems.

The Haval H7 will be launched on export markets later this year. For example, our model can have its official premiere at the end of summer or autumn. The H7 will probably be more expensive than the Haval Dargo, which in the Russian Federation now costs from 3,049,000 rubles (2024 model year).
Meanwhile, Haval has planned several more premieres in Russia for this year. One of the new products has already gone on sale — this is the restyled Jolion SUV. Other new models include the second-generation H9 SUV.
