MOSCOW, February 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin created an organizing committee to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation, appointing Sergei Kiriyenko as its chairman, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, the corresponding decree was published on the website of the official publication of legal acts.
«In connection with the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of Russia in 2026, I decree: To form an organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation. To appoint the chairman of the organizing committee for the preparation of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation figures of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko,” the decree says.
It is noted that the Russian government needs to approve the composition of the committee within a month, as well as develop and approve a plan of main activities.
Public authorities in the regions of Russia are recommended to take part in the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Union of Theater Workers, the decree adds.
