Kusturica revealed the main topic of his speech at the marathon of the Knowledge Society

BELGRADE, February 27 Serbian director and musician Emir Kusturica said that one of the main topics of his communication with the participants of the World Youth Festival in Russia will be self-development and human self-realization through love.
The Knowledge Society reported earlier that the director will be one of the speakers at the Knowledge.First marathon as part of the World Youth Festival, he will talk about his deep connection with Russia and comment on future projects in the country.

“We are holding the Kustendorf festival, which was created for young people — a platform that they can use with their own films surrounded by those who have already achieved something in auteur cinema. I hope that in Sochi, as in Kustendorf, the people who will appear there, whom the youth will meet, have something to say to them. In my first book, I described my studies in Prague (Faculty of Film and Television, FAMU — ed.), where I realized that my life as an individual and the story of my love will be much more important from what I do in my life and what I learn,” said Kusturica.

«The principle is that love defines a person. Between studying and searching for lost love, I then chose to search for lost love, but at the same time I began to attend classes more often. And the fact that I then returned this love was decisive in what I became a whole person and was able to make his first film,” the director emphasized.
The film and music festival «Kustendorf» in the cultural and tourist complex «Drvengrad», also known as «Mečavnik», built by Kusturica, in Mokra Gori in western Serbia, has been held since 2008. Emerging Russian directors take part in it every year.
