The American company Karma Automotive introduced a new model Gyesera, which in fact turned out to be another, this time a purely electric version of the Fisker Karma sedan, developed at the beginning of the last decade.
Karma Automotive this year celebrates ten years since its founding. The company approached its anniversary without any noticeable achievements and is now in a state of relaunch under the leadership of new president Marques McCammon. Let's remember that Karma Automotive is the former company Fisker Automotive of the Danish designer and entrepreneur Henrik Fisker: in 2014, after bankruptcy, it was bought by the Chinese component manufacturer Wanxiang and continued the production of the plug-in hybrid sedan Fisker Karma, developed by Fisker, renaming it Karma Revero.< /p>
Over the past ten years, Karma has failed to launch any of the all-new models it announced. The electric sports coupe Kaveya, presented last November, is another attempt to make a new product from scratch, but Kaveya will enter the market at the end of 2025, at best, and in the meantime, Karma continues to “finish” the only model left after Fisker: it was presented last weekend electric sedan Gyesera.

The Gyesera is essentially a restyled Karma Revero, with the plug-in hybrid powertrain replaced by a purely electric one. The maximum combined output of the two electric motors mounted on the rear axle is 598 hp. and 940 Nm. The Gyesera accelerates to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h. The battery capacity is 120 kWh, the range on one charge is about 400 km. Curb weight — 2404 kg.

Compared to the Karma Revero, the Gyesera has had almost all of its exterior body panels redesigned, but the original image created by Henrik Fisker is unmistakable. The salon also retained the same architecture, but received new instrument and multimedia screens, as well as a more laconic and sophisticated finish. Overall length of Gyesera — 5077 mm, width — 2004 mm, height — 1331 mm, wheelbase — 3160 mm. The power structure of the body is made of aluminum alloy, external panels are made of aluminum or carbon fiber.
According to Automotive News, the Karma Gyesera will cost from $175,000 to $225,000 depending on the configuration, the company plans in total to produce about 2,000 copies of this model over the next four to five years.
Karma currently has no intention of becoming a major automaker on the level of Tesla and is aimed at competing with Aston Martin and McLaren. According to McCammon, in the coming years Karma should become “the embodiment of American success” and produce from 3,000 to 5,000 exclusive sports electric vehicles per year.
Meanwhile, Henrik Fisker and his new company Fisker Inc. things are going so-so: due to a lack of funding, it may become bankrupt by the end of this year, but Fisker is counting on some profitable partnership, with Nissan in its sights, read the details in our separate material.
